National Simultaneous Storytime

On Wednesday 25 May the children of Kinder, Yr 1 and Y r2 joined thousands of other children around the country in the National Simultaneous Storytime. This years book was 'Feathers for Phoebe". The book had a great message about self-esteem and being happy with who you are.

At the end of the story we had a sing and declared that we are all beautiful. The children were given a coloured feather as a reminder of their beauty.

Ber Blessing

On Wednesday 30 March marked the Blessing of the BER Building Project. We gathered together as a community to celebrate these wonderful facilities that will benefit all our children. The blessing was led by Bishop Ingham along with Father Patrick Vaughan. The Federal Government was represented by the Honourable Stephen Jones. Also in attendance were the Director of Schools Mr Peter Turner and representitives of the CEO, Architect Mr David Rumps, Parishioners and members of our school community. We take this opportunity to thank everyone for their attendance and making the day very special.

St Patrick's Day 2011

On Thursday 17th March we celebrated St Patrick's Day. The day began with Mass and later continued with some great activities organised by our Year 6 Student Council. It was a day filled with fun and the children enjoyed eating some great green creations. Well Done Student Council!

School Captains - Terms 1 & 2

We congratulate our School Captains for Terms 1 & 2 Angelique Papadopoulos and Julian DiStefano. We are sure that they will be wonderful leaders and represent our school with great pride.

Hawks basketball visit

On Tuesday Yrs 2, 3 and 4 were treated to a visit from the Wollongong Hawks basketball team. Oscar Foreman and Rhys Martin demonstrated their considerable skills. Our students discovered that practicing skills can be fun!

Welcome to our new blog where we will share with you our special events. Last week we had the pleasure of a visit from the Director of Schools Peter Turner. Mr Turner toured our new facilities and visited our classrooms where he joined the children in class activities.
